Curriculum Alignment Planning
In June 2010, the Ohio State Board of Education adopted the Common Core State Standards in English language arts and mathematics as well as the revisions to Ohio’s academic content standards in science and social studies. Our students will be accountable for demonstrating mastery in these new standards when newly aligned assessments are implemented during the 2014-15 school year.
As a result of the newly revised content standards, FPCS has drafted the following grade level/subject area plans to ensure complete alignment to the newly revised standards. Timelines are subject to change if needed or if changed by the Ohio Department of Education.

Ohio Improvement Process
Ohio is committed to the implementation of a unified state system of support directly focused on improving the academic achievement of all students. Ohio’s statewide system of support includes State Support Teams and Educational Service Center personnel who use a connected set of tools to improve instructional practice and student performance on a continuing basis.
