On Friday, January 12, 2018, district treasurer Amy L. Hendricks announced her retirement from the Fairview Park City Schools, effective January 31.
Ms. Hendricks has spent the past 33 years as a school business official.
“I would like to thank the Board of Education, administrative team and staff for the opportunity to work with such a dedicated group of professionals,” she said. I am grateful to have been a part of implementing the Fairview Advantage to enhance educational experiences for our students as well as the development of a facility master plan that will serve the community for many years to come.”
On February 1, 2018, Ms. Hendricks will begin as Finance Director for the City of Vermilion.
“This is the perfect opportunity for me as I will be able to serve my home community,” she said.
Ms. Hendricks joined Fairview Park City Schools as Treasurer in 2013.
She is the recipient of many awards and serves on multiple committees. Some of her accomplishments include receiving the Vermilion Business and Professional 2011 Woman of the Year – Community Award, serving as a Governing Board Member of the Ohio Association of School Business Officials (OASBO) and is currently serving as President of the Northeast Ohio Association of School Business Officials.
Ms. Hendricks has led the finance department to numerous awards and recognition, such as the Auditor of State Award of Distinction, Award of Excellence from the Government Finance Officers Association, and the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting Award from the Association of School Business Officials International.
The Board of Education and staff of Fairview Park City Schools wish Amy all the best and are grateful for her years of dedication to Fairview Park City Schools and the education community.
The Board of Education will begin the search process immediately for an interim Treasurer while searching for a full-time replacement.
