Game 1
L 25-31 0-1 After taking a seven point lead in the second quarter things looked very good. Having a halftime lead of 17-12 also looked very good. We struggled in the second half scoring. Our defense was very good we just could not put the ball in the basket. Leading the way was Kayla Iwais with 17 of are 25 points scored. Morgan was a beast on the boards grabbing a team high 8.

Game 2
L 36-37 0-2 This was a fun game to watch, coach and to play in. The game was back in forth the entire game. Erin had a shot at the end go in and out at the buzzer. We played strong defense to keep us in the game. We struggled on the free throw line going 15-27. Leading the way was Kayla I with 12 points and Kara scoring 8. Once again Morgan was a beast on the boards grabbing 10 while Kara led the team with 11. Once again we played very good defense with Kara leading the way with 7 steals followed by Kayla I with five and Bri with 4.

Game 3
W 49-34 1-2 WOW! This is was a great team effort. After leading 17-8 at half we jumped out to a 30-10 lead midway through the third. We had three score in double digits, Erin, Morgan and Kelly. Kayla I did a nice job leading the team with 7 assists. While Kara led the team with 6 steals. Erin was hot from the floor as well as Morgan and Kelly. Morgan and Kelly each shot 76% from the field.

Game 4
L 55-48 1-3 After going down 8-0 then 9-1 in the first quarter your Lady Warriors fought back to take a 11-9 lead at the beginning of the second quarter. At the half we held a 20-18 advantage. Key free throws in the 2nd quarter helped us get on top. Third quarter was a struggle we only scored 6 point to Vermillions 16. After going down by 12 we scratched and clawed are way back to one 34-33. Then the lead got pushed back to eight. We had down to four with possession, but we just could not cut more into the deficit. Turnovers hurt us in big situations. We had the ball down four three times and committed three turnovers during that stretch. Great effort. We held their leading scorer to 4 points.

Game 5
Avon L: 41-25 1-4, 0-2 This was another story. We just did not come to play. Kayla Iwais led the team again with 9 points. Turnovers, Turnoversm Turnovers. We missed 23 shots inside the paint. We only gave up 41 points but when you score 25 you don't give yourself a chance. Morgan King did a nice job. She is only a sophmore and she played her heart out. When she gets a better understanding of she can do look out. Foul trouble early hurt us. Kara played very little in the second and only half the third. That hurts us defensively. We have to do a better job protecting the ball. We play good defense, but we you turn the ball over even your defense can look bad.

Game 6
North Ridgeville W 41-35 2-4, 1-2 A thrilling game: We once again came out of the blocks sluggish going down 7-3 after the 1st quarter. We came back in the second quarter with the help of Katie Brown. Her three point shot seemed to lift us up. We were tied at half 12-12. The third quarter was a struggle for both teams Morgan hit are only basket in the quarter, a three point shot from the top of the key. That was the difference because we took an 18-17 lead into the 4th. The game went back in fourth the 4th quarter . Kayla K hit a huge three from the top of the arc, to keep us in it. While Kayla I free throw shooting helped as well. We played great defense for the last 20 seconds of regulation to keep them from getting a good shot off when the score was tied 31-31. Overtime came and Erin and Katie stepped up. With Kayla I. out with fouls those two stepped it up in the. Erin scoring all of her 5 points in the extra session with a huge three point shot from the corner that gave us a two point lead. A lead we would never give up again. Katie Brown hit all five of her free throws in the extra session. Both Bri and Morgan were beasts on the boards pulling down 12 and respectively. This was our best defensive effort of the year. Bri also had 3 block shots. Nice job ladies.

Game 7
Buckeye L 52-34 2-5, 1,2 It was just one of those game where are shots were just not falling. We shot 19% from the field and 50% from the foul line. We missed 25 shots inside the key. After all that we still were only down 8 with a three minutes to go shooting two free throws to cut it to 6. Defensively we were solid and offensively we only committed 9 turnovers. Just a rough shooting day.

Game 8
Brooklyn W 35-34 3-5,1-2 A great defensive effort, We held their leading scorer to only 7 points. Kara had the responsibility of covering her and she did a great job. Once again offensively we struggled but defensively we played very well as a team. With a one point lead and Brooklyn with the ball we were able to shut them down without a good shot attempt for the last 20 seconds of the game. Katie Brown hit the clutch go ahead free throw to give us that one point lead. Leading the was Kayla I with 10 points while hitting 7 out 10 from the free throw line. Kara while doing a great job on the defensive end also scored nine points. Bri and Morgan took care of the board work each grabbing a game high 10 rebounds.

Game 9
Orange L 36-28 3-6, 1-2 Just had another poor shooting night. We shot 16% from the field while making only 7 of our 18 free throws. We also missed 25 shots in the paint. A step back in the season but we will work through it.

Game 10
L 45-52 3-7, 2-2 Another great effort. We played a rough first half committing 18 turnovers and giving up 13 points to Davis. Even after that we were only down 9 at half. We took care of the ball a lot better in the second half only committing 5 turnovers. We cut the lead to 4 with a minute left in the third quarter, but two mental mistakes cause the lead to go up to 8 by the end of the third. We battled in the fourth, cutting the lead down to three. We had a chance at the tie when a three point shot by Erin rattled in and out. Shots were there they just didn’t fall. Kayla I went to the line 20 times while connecting on 14 of them. Bri had her best game scoring 10. We had momentum but she went out of the game in the third with an injury we lost it. With her out we lost a huge part of our game plan. Bri also collected 11 rebounds while Morgan pulled down 10. Playing great defensive was Erin who led the team with Kayla I and Morgan with 4 steals.

Game 11
L 21-42 3-8, 1-4 We played well for about 2 and half quarters. We had the lead against a tough Bay team midway through the 3rd quarter. Morgan King kept us in the game in the 2nd quarter by scoring 8 points. It was a great defensive effort in the first half holding Bay to only 16 first half points. Bri did a very nice job on the boards pulling down seven. Kara tried to keep us in it by scoring our only baskets in the third quarter. We just ran out of gas.

Game 12
L 32,40 3-9, 1-5 The start was great, we scored the first eight points of the game. Once again Morgan was on fire from three, she connected on two in the first quarter. Midview then went on to out score us 17-7 the rest of the first half. We came back in the third quarter again Morgan hitting on two three pointers. The fourth quarter was a different story getting outscored 16-9. A tough loss.

Game 13
L 26-62 3-10, 1-6 We played River tough for the first half. We kept the score within 6 to 8 points for most of the half until they hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer to push the lead to 11 before the intermission. Leading the way were Bri with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Second half we ran out of gas. Altogether a good effort.

Game 14
L 38-63 3-11, 1-7 Bri was a beast scoring 15 point while pulling down 10 rebounds. Morgan also did a nice job on the boards grabbing 8. Defense was not there tonight. We were just out hustled and to. When we had looks at the basket we made them but we were just out hustled tonight.

Game 15
L 33-47 3-12, 1-8 A rough first half. Evans score 19 and we could never recover from that. We were down by 19 at one pint in the first half. Second half we were able to get the lead cut to 12 before losing by 14. A good second half defensively, we held Evans to 2 points. Bri once again continued her great work scoring 9 points while pulling down 10 rebounds. Morgan also had 8 rebounds while picking up 4 steals. Erin Wolansky did a nice job pass the ball picking up three assists.
