Title I, Part A (Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Fairview Park's Title I program serves students in grades 1 - 3 by providing supplemental reading services. We utilize Title I funds to hire tutors and/or teachers, purchase materials that support student achievement, and increase parent engagement. Students who are failing or are at-risk of failing in reading are identified and offered extra assistance during the regular school day, after school, and summer.
