Matt Hrubey has been a resident of Fairview Park since 2013, residing with his wife Alicia and son Aiden. He received his B.A. in Political Science from Mount Union College and his Master of Public Administration from Cleveland State University, where he specialized in City Management.
Hrubey has served a number of local government and non-profit agencies, and currently provides grant management and compliance support to Cuyahoga County government agencies as part of its fiscal office.
He has volunteered with and/or led numerous community organizations including Forward Fairview Park, the Fairview Park Education Foundation, the Fairview Park Green Team, the Fairview Park Summerfest Committee, and the Fairview Park Safe Routes to School Committee. Hrubey was appointed to the Board of Education in August 2016 and re-elected to fulfill a four-year term in 2017. He was elected Vice President in January 2020.
