The Fairview Park City School District Board of Education is seeking applicants to fill the seat of board member Matthew Hrubey, whose term expires on December 31, 2021. The board must name a replacement within 30 days of the term expiration.
“Matt has served on the Fairview Park City School District Board of Education for the past five years,” Joslyn Dalton, president of the Fairview Park Board of Education said. “He has been a thoughtful and dedicated member who has been committed to the success of our community, staff and students. We would like to thank Matt for his service to the board and the community.”
Those interested in serving on the board can apply through the Fairview Park City School District website. Completed applications will be accepted from November 4, 2021 until December 31, 2021 at 11:59 PM. According to Ohio law, people serving on Ohio school boards must be at least 18 years old, reside in the district, and be registered voters.
The board will review all applications and hold interviews on the evening of January 4, 2022. The board will then vote to appoint the new board member at a public meeting on January 18, 2022.
The newly appointed member’s term will expire on December 31, 2023. If the appointed member desires to continue serving past that date, he or she must run in the November 2023 election.
