"I'm not really even sure what Mrs. Moomaw is responsible for from day to day, but I know she is on it and is going to knock whatever assignment she has been tasked with as far out of the park as humanly possible. Julie is an absolute task master. I know that when I stop at Julie's desk (her new desk), I will be greeted with a smile and a "what can I do for you, boss". Julie is a team player and an expert at her craft. We are lucky to have such a wonderful, hard working and caring individual within the school counseling office. Congratulations, Julie."

Each day at Gilles-Sweet, Mrs. Brancatelli welcomes students with her contagious smile at one of their most favorite places at school, the playground. While students enjoy recess, Mrs. Brancatelli can be found encouraging students to stay active and have fun.. Mrs. Brancatelli encourages students to try playing different games or activities while promoting an inclusive environment for all students. Mrs. Brancatelli continuously strives to help ensure that each student stays safe recess, manages friendship challenges, and reinforces and models problem solving strategies.

"Ms. Beth is a staple at the Early Education Center! This year we have several new toddler teachers and she has helped transition the staff into their new roles. Beth is always willing to help anyone at any moment and veteran teachers often seek her out for advice. Beth is patient with our littlest learners and is also known around these halls as the potty training guru! Thanks for being such an asset to the EEC!"

"Mr. Graves is truly a shining star. Since joining the Fairview Park City Schools, Grant has been willing to do whatever has been asked of him by his colleagues and administration. Mr. Graves is the ultimate team player who is always prepared to step up to the plate to take on the most difficult of challenges within his position. Grant goes above and beyond with his students to ensure that they enjoy the content he is presenting to them and that they are ready to take on the adversity they will face after graduating from high school. Mr. Graves enjoys giving back to the students of FHS through volunteerism, and understands the commitment of being a good role model for students does not end at the final bell of the day. "Alberto has stepped into a new role in the transportation department this year and has really gone above and beyond. He has shown great flexibility and the ability to adapt to new challenges. Dedication is a term often used but rarely embodied to the extent that Heather has shown. Day in and day out, she has displayed an unwavering commitment to our school, our students, and our community. She has put in long hours, worked tirelessly, and given selflessly. Her dedication is not just evident in her work, but also in the respect and admiration she receives from her colleagues (both Fairview and Polaris) and her students.
Leadership is another quality that Heather possesses in abundance. She has a unique ability to inspire, motivate and mentor others, to guide them towards achieving their full potential. "This month the EEC would like to recognize Bill Naso as the shining star!
Mr. Bill has been a fixture at the EEC for nearly 10 years! He can always be found behind the scenes, but is always willing to step up when asked. Even if that means answering the office door and maybe taking a message or two! Mr. Bill makes sure the building is safe and ready each day for the students and staff.
We will all miss Bill as we send him off into retirement. Congratulations!"

As Ms. Lihani has settled into her new role as TItle I Tutor, she has gone above and beyond for our students and staff and jumped right into and immersing herself into providing systematic instruction in phonological awareness, phonics and sight words. She has provided and contributed to our multi-tiered system of support collaboration and taken initiative with her colleagues to provide the best support for students.

"Mrs. Sheridan is a dedicated Speech and Language Pathologist that works with our students in the Developmental Assistance Program (DAP) and kindergarten. She provides specially designed instruction in a 1:1 and/or small group setting.
She works diligently to establish positive relationships with students and their families. She has expanded her knowledge of AAC devices for our students to provide an optimal environment for growth in their communication skills.
During this school year, she has provided professional development for our DAP team on the "stages of play" to enhance language development with our preschool students. She works collaboratively with outside providers to coordinate school services and private services. She is a resource to the DAP and kindergarten team."

As our orchestra teacher, Hillery has brought about more than just music in our halls. She has composed a symphony of learning, where each note corresponds to her commitment to student-centered education and each melody echoes her passion for the arts. Her creativity is not confined to the scores of sheet music; it resonates through her innovative teaching methods, crafting lessons that captivate and inspire young minds.
To describe Hillery as courteous and caring would be an understatement. She conducts her classroom with kindness and grace, fostering an atmosphere where respect is paramount, and every student feels valued. Throughout the year, Mrs. James’ students are immersed in thoughtful, engaging, standards based lessons that capture their attention and have them eager for the next. Whether it is a camping themed reading week, dressing up in their favorite idiom, or strolling the streets of Fairview Park to learn the history of their city students love learning with her. Mrs. James is a leader among her colleagues. Her commitment to the third grade team over the years has made it cohesive and welcoming. She guides them through collaborative lesson planning, analyzing data and targeting student instruction, and encourages the team to work together for the good of all learners. Year after year, Mrs. James develops, leads, and implements the third grade after school tutoring program to ensure all the students of Gilles-Sweet meet and exceed the Third Grade Reading Guarantee. Her commitment to this program has been essential in our students’ success in reading over the years.

"Mrs. Brianna Wagner is an occupational therapist in the district. She works at the Early Education Center and Gilles-Sweet Elementary. She joined the district in early September of this year. She is dedicated and committed to meeting the needs of our students that need assistance with their fine motor skills and/or sensory processing.
She attends the many Evaluation Team Meetings (ETR) and Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings. She consults with staff members and families to provide additional strategies in the classroom and at home for students. She shows extraordinary enthusiasm and a positive attitude on a daily basis.
She is highly organized and extremely dependable in fulfilling her responsibilities in this important position. She is an asset to the students, parents and staff of the Fairview Park School District."
