FHS Named Among Best High Schools By U.S. News & World Report

Fairview High School has been named one of U.S. News & World Report’s Best High Schools as a Silver Medalist for 2018. The magazine awards Gold, Silver and Bronze medals according to college readiness, math and reading scores and graduation rates. Of the numerous Ohio schools ranked in 2018 among the U.S. News Best High Schools, 19 were awarded gold medals, 111 earned silver medals and 183 received bronze medals.

Overall, the nation’s high schools are scored on state proficiency standards, performance of historically underserved student groups, students’ participation and performance on Advanced Placement (AP) tests, and graduation rates. More than 20,000 public schools were evaluated and the schools scoring in the top 30% overall make the list.

Fairview High School was ranked 87th the state (up from no ranking last year), which falls in the top 12% of the 822 Ohio schools awarded medals.
