FAIRVIEW PARK CITY SCHOOLS

Important Safety Message for Fairview Park Families

Dear Fairview Families:
We are writing to inform you of a situation that was brought to administration’s attention over the weekend.
This past Friday night, the 6-12 campus principal received an email alleging that a small group of students were planning to harm students and staff at the middle school and high school and destroy school property.
Police were immediately notified and began an investigation, which included conducting home visits and a thorough scan of the social media of the students in question. There is no imminent threat against students, staff or the district.
Together with the police department, the District also conducted a thorough investigation, and will take immediate action according to Board policy.
We take all threats very seriously and are sincerely grateful to our safety forces for responding immediately to investigate the reported threat.
Your assistance in keeping our schools safe and secure is greatly appreciated. If you, or your child, have or receive any information regarding these or other issues that could jeopardize student or staff safety, please contact the Fairview Park Police Department immediately. Reports can also be submitted anonymously through the Safer Schools Ohio Tipline, by calling or texting 1-844-SAFEROH.
Thank you.
