Junior/Senior Families Encouraged to Schedule “College Now” Appointment

Senior and Junior Families:

Our school is partnering with College Now. College Now helps students as early as middle and high school students as well as adult learners achieve their dreams of going to and succeeding in certificate, two-year and four-year degree programs.

College Now provides college access success advising, financial aid counseling and scholarship and retention services. Many of our students are from low-income families and are first-generation college students.

College Now works with middle and high school students in schools and community-based settings across five Northeast Ohio counties and our advisors create a “college-going” culture in the schools by engaging students and their families individually and in group sessions.

We encourage parents to sign up for appointments to meet with our rep, Meagan Salata, to begin or finish the FAFSA form and ask any questions regarding financial aid and scholarships.
Throughout the year, she will be a great resource for:
• How to complete the FAFSA, and understanding how to receive the different types of financial aid such as loans, grants, and scholarships.
• Begin senior-level steps in the postsecondary planning process, including submission of college, financial aid, and scholarship applications.
• Understanding college admissions decisions & financial aid award letters, and how to choose a best-fit college.
