The Developmental Assistance Program (DAP) at the Early Education Center is looking for 3-year-old and 4-year-old peer role models for our Special Education preschool classrooms for the 2026-2027 school year.

As a peer role model, the child would play a crucial part in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, helping their peers develop essential social and communication skills. This experience not only benefits the students with special needs but also provides the peer models with valuable opportunities for personal growth, leadership, and empathy.

The screening will be conducted on January 23, 2026, for the 2026-2027 school year.

  • For 3-year-olds (for the 2026-27 school year): 8:30 to 9 am
  • For 4-year-olds (for the 2026-27 school year): 9:30 to 10 am

The tuition is $500.00 for Fairview residents and $800.00 for non-residents. This can be paid in full or in payments arranged with the EEC office. There is also a one-time supply fee of $30.00. If your child joins the DAP program after the beginning of the school year, your tuition will be prorated. **The tuition and supply fee are additional charges if your child is in the daycare at EEC.**

The sign up period for the DAP Questionnaire ended January 16, 2026. Click here to add your name to the DAP Waitlist.

Important Enrollment Information:

  • Typical Peer Participation: We are accepting children who serve as typical peers in our program. These peers play an important role in helping create a balanced and supportive learning environment for all participants.

  • Screening: Please note that typical peers do not need to undergo any developmental screenings to enroll in this program.

  • Toilet Training Requirement: All children enrolling as typical peers must be fully toilet trained.

  • Probationary Period: To ensure a good fit for both the child and the program, there will be a one-month probationary period for all newly enrolled typical peers. During this time, we will assess how well the child is adjusting to the program. If any concerns arise, we will communicate with you to discuss the best course of action moving forward.

Our program is designed to promote learning and interaction among all children, helping them develop important life skills while building strong friendships. We believe that the inclusion of typical peers is essential to achieving our goals of inclusivity and developmental growth.

If you are interested in enrolling your child as a typical peer or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 440-356-3515 ext 1234 or mfrenz@fairview.k12.oh.us. We look forward to welcoming your child to our program and working together to create a positive and enriching experience.
