Historic weekend for Fairview student-athletes as Warriors look to the next round

What a weekend for our Warrior Athletes! Fairview High School had plenty to celebrate as multiple teams and athletes advanced to the next level of competition!

Cross Country: On Saturday, Oct. 25, senior Bryce Ries punched his ticket to the OHSAA Division III State Championship Meet after a strong 23rd-place finish at Regionals with a time of 16:51.54. Girls Soccer: The Warriors captured an OHSAA Division IV District Championship with a 3-1 win over Orrville on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Padua High School, advancing to the Sweet 16 in the OHSAA State Tournament! It is the second district championship in school history. The win was also Coach Scott Underwood’s 100th career victory at FHS.

Football: The Warriors capped off an incredible regular season with an 8-2 record after traveling to West Virginia and defeating the Cabell Midland Knights, 56-41. In their final regular season game, the Warriors put up 554 yards of total offense. With the win, the team is the first in school history to qualify for the OHSAA tournament in two consecutive seasons. Next up: the Warriors will host a first-round OHSAA playoff game this Friday at 7 PM vs. the Fredericktown Freddies at James B. Daley Stadium!
