FHS Social Studies Department

Welcome from the Fairview High School Social Studies Department

We are excited for this school year. Below you will find helpful resources we will use frequently throughout the year.

Goals and Major Work of the FHS Social Studies Department

The Fairview High School Social Studies Department will work to make students more aware of worldly and American issues.  We want to challenge students to think critically about the world in which they live and how current and past events have shaped it.  We wish to help students build enthusiasm for the various subjects within our discipline as well as help students become lifelong learners.  We work to help students develop college level skills both academic and social.  We believe in all students’ ability to have success in each and every course within our department and are committed to helping students reach it.
