"On behalf of the faculty and staff of Gilles-Sweet Elementary School, it is our pleasure to recognize and honor Mrs. Emily Starr as our October Shining Star Staff recipient. Each day, Mrs. Starr provides her second grade students a warm, inviting, and friendly atmosphere. Students enjoy their learning through fun and engaging activities and projects. Mrs. Starr brings a positive spirit of collaboration to her second grade team. She has embraced the new MTSS process with a high level of optimism and as an opportunity to learn, grow, and engage in professional learning.
